sesame seeds
dried cherries
raisins
carob chips
Mix it all together and scoop a tablespoon full onto a piece of plastic wrap. Squeeze into a ball. Store in the freezer or fridge.
Onto my kefir making. I was so excited to get the kefir grains in the mail so I could get my own started. There are lots of health benefits to eating kefir.. click here for more info.

My dog, Blaze, enjoying his kefir. Boston Terriers are known to have GI issues... so kefir could only help!
This morning I opened this coconut, drained the water, used some of the meat in the smoothie recipe below and saved the yummy water.
Here is the coconut milk kefir I have working right now. Yummy!
For lunch today I made a great smoothie made of...
1 banana
1 nectarine
coconut meat
small orange
ice and water
So simple, so good!

ReplyDeleteAnd the kefir, it must have been pretty warm where you were and it fermented fast...and if you shook it gently, did it redistribute? Or possibly there was some bad bacteria, germs, dirt, etc and that could have messed with it...who knows but honestly, it was probably salvage-able, well I am cheap and hate throwing things out :)
